HAPPY NEW YEAR
Here's a few flowers I’ve painted in the past...it’s been awhile since I’ve picked up a paintbrush. It’s been awhile since I’ve been anything other than an empty vessel. I’d like to paint and write, but I think I may need a kick in the keister or some other kind of attitude adjustment or a muse to inspire me. I never named my paintings. I just numbered them...how unimaginative of me!
LOVING your work. And awed by your talent. Don't waste it. Pick up that bloody brush woman.
ReplyDeleteI'm working on it but I'm still not there yet.
DeleteWOW those are just beautiful!!!!!!! Maybe start with a colouring book and then go back to doing your own?
ReplyDeleteGreat suggestion!
DeleteHappy New Year Mildred!!!
ReplyDeleteAnd I'd say dear it's time to pick up a brush...those are beautiful.
I think numbering the paintings is smart. That way you don't have to explain why you named them what you might have.
ReplyDeleteExactly!
DeleteThese are beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThose are beautiful - I really like the hummingbird.
ReplyDeleteMe, too!
DeleteYou're a very talented artist! I especially love that first painting of the irises (or flags as we called them when I was a kid). I hope your Muse finds you again in 2019 and inspires you to pick up a brush once more.
ReplyDeleteThe old muse is taking his/her time finding me or me finding him/her. At this speed I may be dead before I ever paint again.
DeleteLOVELY paintings; are they watercolors? why did you stop; go be inspired and paint!
ReplyDeleteSome are watercolors and some are acrylics. Why I stopped is a long, complicated story...one worthy of being a blog post, no doubt.
